Michel Gondry's 'Green Hornet' going 3D

Following recent successful 3D releases of "Avatar", "Alice in Wonderland", "How to Train Your Dragon"and "Clash of the Titans", Sony announced they will be converting Michel Gondry's "The Green Hornet" to 3D.
With the number of 3D equipped screens in the US approaching 3,400, we are going to see more content available through this medium. Summer 3D releases will include DreamWorks Animation's "Shrek Forever After" on May 21, and Disney's third installment of the "Toy Story" franchise
on June 18.
Sony's move towards 3D is motivated by more than just box office sales. In June of this year Sony will release a new series of 3D HDTVs as part of its BRAVIA lineup. With the help of RealD active shutter glasses, viewers will be able to enjoy 3D entertainment from the comfort of their home. Sony is expanding the 3D experience to their PlayStation gaming platform as well. The latest PlayStation 3 software update enables the popular gaming console to support 3D stereophonic games, even though there are no titles currently available for the PS3 system.
